Jonathan Ackley is a former programmer at LucasArts.
Biography[]
He was a self-taught BASIC programmer on an Atari 400. Loving the movies, he studied film production at University of California, Santa Cruz.[1]
His first job at Lucasfilm was computer-file management at the Learning division of Industrial Light and Magic, acquiring images for educational products. He soon moved on to part-time programming, and when Learning was absorbed by the Games division, Ackley stayed on as a full-time programmer.[1]
His first project with LucasArts was programming Day of the Tentacle. He then worked on sound effects for Sam & Max Hit the Road and programming for Full Throttle and The Dig.[1]
