Chris Purvis was a tester of various LucasArts games.
Biography[]
Purvis was working for a software company when he found an ad for employment at LucasArts. Compared to LucasArts, his previous job was like "slavery".[1]
He works in a cubicle decorated by pictures of his wife and racing cars, and hanging models of Star Wars spaceships.[1]
His work on the short Full Throttle as lead tester was very simple, but for the longer and more complex The Dig he was more challenged, as the shortest route to complete it took 3 hours, and distributed different parts of each new version to several testers. The Dig proved more stable than other games.[1]
